New York City

I took the train down to the city to visit my friend Kate who recently moved there from Montana. Kate is kicking butt at NYU in her journalism masters program. Luckily, I got to steal her away from classes and interviews for a couple days to roam around the city. It was a great time catching up with an old friend in a new place. Cheers Kate, I'm super proud of you!

Guide School

This summer I had the amazing opportunity of going to Sweet Water Guide School on the Big Horn river in Fort Smith, Montana. It was one of the best weeks of my life, hands down. Not only did we learn about the fish, the river, the rowing, the fly tying and the casting, we got to learn about 11 (new) people. There were three guide instructors, one 18-year-old football player, two girls and six war veterans (all men/boys...), what a group!   Some of us knew each other but some of us were complete strangers to the rest. That quickly changed by then end of the week or should I say by the end of our first hour. The fishing was awesome, the weather was awesome and we all had a blast. Thanks, you guys for making the week so awesome. Can't wait to get back in the water with all of you!
